This parking brake is merely a small wooden wedge that is wedged under the paddle of the front brake lever. Pull the front brake lever--slide in the wedge between the paddle and the switch housing, and the wedge keeps the brake engaged. By pulling the lever again the wedge will fall loose. A small hole in the wedge and a loop of beaded chain keeps the whole works fastened to the handlebars. Very simple, but very effective if you live in the hills or warm up your 1200 or 1500 before taking off. Try it--you"ll like it. |
