Interesting non-player characters (NPCs) and the strange situations they get themselves and the PCs into are what make encounters memorable for the players and DM. Sometimes it is difficult to wing such unusual encounters. The following generator can allow the DM to randomly generate the peculiarities of the NPC: who the NPC is, what he or she wants, and how he or she acts. Armed with this information, any DM can create an interesting (and often bizarre) encounter between the NPC and the adventurers.
Each generated character has the following attributes:
Race - racial origin of the character.
Occupation - the class or main vocation of the character.
Motivation - the present circumstance of the character.
Quirks - notable features or attributes of the character.
