Beginning in September, I am going to offer an two art classes. It will consist of a weekly, 1 1/2 hour long class. One session will be held on Tuesdays, the other session on Thursdays. (Your child will either attend Tuesdays only, or Thursdays only.) Each month there will be four classes, with the exception of December and April. We will be taking one week off to observe the Christmas and Easter holidays. Each month will focus on a different skill and medium. Some of the artistic techniques we will cover are: contour drawing, perspective drawing, symmetry, color theory, shading, light sources, watercolor, etching, acrylic painting, mosaic, decopage, gyotaku, sculpture, and more. Students will also be exposed to famous artists and their work as it pertains to the skills they are learning. This will be interjected occasionally, as it may not pertain to each skill or technique we will be focusing on. Classes will be held in my home in N Charleston. ALLERGY WARNING: If your child is allergic to cats, please do not apply for the class ~ we have family cats.
