DUE TO LIMITED INTEREST IN THIS CLASS, I WILL NOT BE HOLDING THE SCIENCE LAB AT THIS TIME. IN IT'S PLACE I WILL BE ADDING AN ADDITIONAL ART CLASS. THANK YOU. Beginning in September, I am going to offer a hands-on science lab class. It will consist of a weekly, 1 1/2 hour long class on Thursdays. Each month there will be four classes, with the exception of December and April. We will be taking one week off to observe the Christmas and Easter holidays. Each month will focus one or two different topics. Some main topics will include: electricity, magnetism, crystals, acids & bases, air & water, light, forces, states of matter, geology, nature, and more. Students will be learning basic scientific principles while they learn with hands on activities. Each lesson will be followed up with a worksheet hand-out to take home that explains the experiments completed and the concept learned. Most will include follow-up question to help reinforce the lesson at a later date. For an idea of the classes that will be offered each month, click on the monthly schedule link to the right. Please note that this schedule is subject to change. Classes will be held in my home in N Charleston.
