Owen's Dream Come True
It all started one morning while Owen was getting chemo.  Ms Joli, Child Life Coordinator, was working with Owen on the project for the day.  It was decorating a genie lamp on construction paper and writing his three wishes (1.  take a bubble bath 2.  Monster Truck  3.  Trip to Hooters) .  While asking him about his three wishes, she discovered that Owen had not done a "Dream."  She immediately called Brandi Cook, Dream Assistant/Special Projects Coordinator at Dreams Come True, and told her about Owen.  The next day Brandi came to meet with us.

On September 6, we met with employees of Bombardier Capital.  They had previously had a dress down day to raise money for the Dreams Come True organization.  The money raised will pay for the expenses for the entire vacation.

September 22,  we arrived at
Give Kids the World Village around 4:30pm.
We were immediately greeted with open arms and given a tour of the grounds and taken to our villa.

Give Kids the World Village is a 51-acre, non-profit resort for children with life-threatening illnesses whose one wish is to visit central Florida's best loved attractions.
  -  House of Hearts is where the magic begins when families check in for          their week long, fantasy-filled vacation.
  -  Breakfast and dinner was served everyday in the Gingerbread House.
  -  The Claytonburg Park of Dreams is a pool and waterpark.
  -  A child's dream of becoming a prince or princess comes to life at the            Castle of Miracles.
  -  Ice Cream Palace is where guests are encouraged to indulge in ice cream even for breakfast.  You can have  all the ice cream
you can eat!
  -  Audrey's pool is a second pool for guests to play at.
  -  Cartoon's and children's classics are shown at Julie's Safari Theatre.
  -   Amberville Train Station is where kids - and kids at heart - can                   navigate trains, boats, and more.  There is also a train ride.  (Owen             could have stayed on it all night.)
  -  There are 96 two-bedroom, two bath villas that serve as a special                retreat for families during their stay.

September 23, we went to the Magic Kingdom.

Owen really loved Shamu!!!!

That evening we had dinner at Hooters, and when we returned to the Village we were entertained with a magic show.

September 26, we decided to go back to the Magic Kingdom instead of going to Epcot or MGM Studios.  Owen had alot of fun there and there was more for his age to do.

                It's a Small World

We returned to the Village so we could take a swim before dinner.  After dinner, there was a fishing tournament.  It was fun, but we didn't catch anything so we were off to the arcade and ride the train.

September 27,  the day we have to return home.
We had breakfast, and went to the Amberville Train Station for our final ride on the train and to play a few more games.

We checked out around 10:00am and said good-bye to what was the greatest "Dream Come True."
