| All About Ele Ele came to Regatta when she was about four months old. Kalla and Ele bonded when Ele was just three weeks old. We offered to take her off of her breeder's hands to take her to puppy classes and start her training, not really wanting to get another dog. However by the time Ele had turned one it was obvious that Ele was there to stay and the breeder graciously sent Kalla Ele's papers, free of charge. Kalla and Ele were inseperable, they were soulmates and best friends. Together they were a practically unbeatable Junior Showmanship duo. Ele was blooming into a lovely and talented girl for Kalla. Kalla had been training Ele in Agility and Herding and had her started in Obedience. They were going to debut in all venues of Novice Agility and Obed and Started Sheep at Nationals. Kalla also had plans to breed Ele in the Summer of 03. On June 10th, 2003 Ele began to get sick, on June 12, at 1:00 a.m. we rushed her to the Emergency Vet, she had stopped breathing. Ele went into cardiac arrest on the way to the vet and never regained conciousness. Kalla was heartbroken and still very much is. We are all very sad to have lost such a great dog and such a wonderful beautiful friend. You will be able to see a wonderful memorial add for Ele, done by Kathi Schwengel, in the November/December 2003 issue of the Aussie Times. It is appreciated more than you can know. ~ God had a dog named Ele, he gave a whistle and called her home ~ . |
