COURSE DESCRIPTION: In biology, students learn about many different kinds of living organisms. Topics include the structure and function of cells, chemical processes in living organisms, animal structure and function, plant structure and function, genetics and evolution. Laboratory work includes much use of the microscope, laboratory experiments, and dissection of representative preserved specimens.
