| REGIS CABRAL IS A HISTORIAN OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND A PHYSICIST. DR. CABRAL IS A SPECIALIST IN THE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN THE PRODUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS. DR. CABRAL IS KNOWN FOR HIS STUDIES ABOUT TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER, ABOUT THE RELATIONS BETWEEN UNIVERSITIES AND THE PRODUCTIVE SECTOR, AND EVALUATIONS OF UNIVERSITIES AS WELL AS INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS. DR. CABRAL IS GLOBALLY KNOWN FOR THE "CABRAL-DAHAB SCIENCE PARK MANAGEMENT PARADIGM", WHICH HAS BEEN USED TO EVALUATE SCIENCE PARKS AND BUSINESS INCUBATORS. HE HAS BEEN WITH SEVERAL EUROPEAN ORGANISATIONS INCLUDING EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY ON ENVIRONMENT, INNOVATION RELAY CENTRE AND DG-IST FUNDED PROJECTS. HE IS JURY FOR THE ICT STOCKHOLM CHALLENGE AWARD. With more than 150 publications, Dr. Cabral assists in the coordination of the European Commission project for distance education in the Middle East, ICT-LEAP. He is profoundly engaged in the innovation processes for regional development in Europe, at the theoretical, at the empirical and the practical levels. |
