Rome and Other Ancient Histories
Ancient Rome and the Not-So-Holy Roman Empire
Most people think the Roman Empire died with the last Caesar, but did it? Or, does the spirit of ancient Rome endure to modern times? If you think not, try checking out the history surrounding the Feast of Saturnalia celebrations in mid-winter that you'll be participating in and enjoying whole heartedly.
The following file is to illustrate the effects of old Roman Festival of Saturnalia holiday.
What's the point? Well, I had been in the dark ages, ignorant to the persistant influences of ancient society on supposed modern and progressive man long enough. Not too many years ago, I learned that the titles Caesar, Kaiser, and Czar/ Tsar are generically alike. In addition, I learned that remnants of the Old Roman Empire can be traced to the power centers of Germany, Italy, and Russia. A study in heraldry and nationalistic symbols is fascinating. Who are the Red Nations? or, the Scarlet, Blue and White peoples? Is history purposeful or purely accidental?
So what's the connection between the past and present?
Here's some good reading to consider, but only after realizing that the two-headed vulture (originally being three-headed... until one of its heads -- the Italian one... died) is the very heraldry of the Balkan states (Serbia, Kosovo, and Albania...) comprising former Yugoslavia and other Slavic... enslaved peoples.
(Now... to those who may be a little cynical when it comes to Church historians recording the miraculous, which we all know doesn't happen... it may be worth watching closely the recent activities coming from out of old Belgrade... in light of the global terror recorded in II Esdras.)
Just how many Kaisers ending with Kaiser Wilhelm... actually ruled? And comparatively speaking, just how long did the second Kaiser rule?
And isn't it interesting that those who continue to devour their small neighbors may have been recorded long ago? Isn't it also interesting that the former Eastern block under Russia's iron-fisted control ultimately divided into... hmmm??? how many countries? And isn't it curiously interesting that of all the nations on our planet... it is this region which embraces as its symbol of nationalistic pride -- the two-headed eagle? And finally... isn't it interesting that this vision of history was seen more that 2,520 years ago? Check out the following:
II Esdras 11 and II Esdras 12 -- the Non-descript kingdom of Daniel's Four Beast vision?
The following Links are a study in the history of those enslaved peoples who came under one of three dominations of political power represented either by a vulture Eagle or a Two-headed Eagle derivation in its heraldry.

II Esdras 11 As I said, it certainly makes for interesting reading! By the way... which nation or peoples is represented by the Lion that finally does some serious pouncing on that last bird-brained beast?

David_Rohl's Homepage featuring "A Test of Time" - Banned by the British Museum (probably 'cause they don't want to have to rewrite all their Egyptology information plaques that line the Museum walls.) Quite possibly David Rohl has proved more than the accepted ancient historical timeline is a little off in its chronology. He just might have reminded all of us that the British Museum is just another BIG business. Check out The Discovery Channel Video Tape Series. It's provocative. You just might agree, some of the old Schools of Archaeology will have to go back to school!
