Our Fishing Trip to Boyd Lake!

Saturday morning, April 17th, we left at a quarter to dawn to head to Boyd Lake State Park. We stopped at the Walmart in Loveland to get some Live Bait, looking (quite unsuccessfully) for Julie Keele throughout the store. Upon arrival, we fished in the bay at the marina, the hot spot in the lake. We didn't really chat it up with the locals, seeing as Snakebite and I had enough of the laid-back country folk at JB's on Friday. I did get a picture of Jed and his outrageously large fish he caught.

I also caught a large mouth bass. Or at least I'm pretty sure it was a large mouth bass. Its small size of no more than three inches made it hard to identify.

Malory almost caught a huge fish that was swimming right near the shore by us. We figured him to be a catfish, which we didn't really want to eat anyways. Either way, he stuck around for a good long time. Even the wombo rock that fell in the water didn't scare him away.

This is the early morning picture from the far side of the bay. We didn't like this side much, especially since we both lost a collection of hook, bait, sinker, and bobber.
Fishing requires full concentration, they didn't even know I was taking their picture. Good thing I was paying attention to my own pole.
Notice the bobber that got stuck in the large plant?
Snakebite decided it would be a good idea to kiss a worm. I think this was after she claimed the artificial bait tasted like fruit snacks.
We warned Nicki that she couldn't throw things in the water...
Here is the wombo catfish!
And again.
Here is a picture of the operation to save a bobber. We had to leave shortly after since someone's shoes were wet and muddy. Snakebite's Bobber totals: 3 lost, 1 found, 1 retrieved.
