On Saturday night we were taken on a night-time bus tour of Prague and then to Prague castle where a room, not open to the public, the Spanish hall, was opened especially for us for a sumptious meal. The last time the room was used was for a NATO summit last November which G. Bush attended. This meal and surroundings was sheer opulence. The courses included white goose liver with plums, deer tournedos stuffed with wild mushrooms and Cognac Sabayon, and Perch Pike with Dugléré sauce. I ate everything, to my regret. My stomach isn't used to this kind of rich food, and a suitable wine with each course while we were serenaded by opera singers! I was very glad when I came home to eat "plain food" again.
