The Second's History
The History of Company F, 2nd Virginia is as honorable and noble as any other regiment, North or South, during the Civil War.  Company F existed before the War as a Militia unit from the Town of Winchester, Virginia.  Almost all of the original members of Co. F were in that Militia Group.  They entered military service after Virginia Seceeded and served throughout the war in the Army of Northern Virginia.
I will not even try to put a full history of the 2nd Virginia on these pages.  To try to explain 4 years of service in four pages of writting would be a dishonor to those soldiers.  I will, however, post the engagements that the 2nd were involved with and corresponding casuslty reports for those engagements.  To view that list gives us a glimspe of what those men did 140 years ago.
