Disclaimer: I don't own them blah, blah, blah. AU fic and the question, Heero and Relena or Trowa and Relena? Basically the topic. Now I have gotten reviews, a lot of reviews which I'm happy about. But one review says please make this HxR. Another says please TxR. Now all of you have to be pacient, because this story won't be over for a while. When it is, you will know who she chooses. Now about this chapter, Heero asked Relena to go on a boating trip with him. It seems that decision is up to the author, which is me.*smirks* Find out if she says yes or no. Enjoy! Oh, sorry this took so long. When Opposites Attract Part 9 "He wants you to come with him?" Sally asked. Relena nodded. "How long?" Catherine asked. "Four days." Relena responded. "There's a near by city he wants to go to." "When?" Hilde asked. "By Friday." Relena responded. "And today's Wednesday." "Have you said yes or no?" the three girls asked. "I haven't said either. I've been avoiding him." The four girls sat in a restarunt eating lunch. Hilde sipped on her soda in deep concentration. "I'd say go." she said. Sally nodded and gave Relena a sly look. "It could romantic get-away." she said. Relena's face flushed. "Were just friends." Relena said. "Don't mind Sally Relena." Catherine said. "She's only teasing..right?" She elbowed Sally. "Yeah, I'm teasing." Sally said rubbing her arm. "Lena do what you want to do. If you want to go, go. If you don't, stay." Hilde said. Relena sighed. "But if I said no, he'd probably be hurt." she said. "I can't do that to Heero." Sally placed some bills on the table and the four made their way outside. "Why don't we go to my place and see what are the pros and cons of this situation." Hilde said. The others agreed and they headed to Hilde's. "I can't think of anything." Sally said. Catherine sighed. "There really is nothing bad about this." she said. Hilde came downstairs, she was carrying a bag. She dropped at the foot of the staircase. "Lena, let me ask you this. Have you ever gone anywhere with Heero...alone, ever since you two broke up in high school?" "No." Relena said. "Then you two actually learn a little bit more about each other. Spending four days with Heero doesn't sound that bad at all. And maybe, just maybe, you might enjoy yourself." Sally said. "Relena, you know as well as I do that Heero likes you, and if I'm right, you like him." Relena blushed again and the girls laughed. Hilde made her way towards the laundry room. She turned the doorknob, but it was locked. Her eyes narrowed with annoyance. "Duo Maxwell get out of there!" she exclaimed. The door opened and Duo's head popped out. He looked at Hilde. "Sorry, but we're having a meeting right now. Come back later." he said. "We. What do mean we?" she asked. "Me, Q-man, Trowa, and Wu-man." Duo responded. "Don't call me that!" Wufei exclaimed. Duo smiled. "Besides, you have to know the password." "What password?! Duo let me in right now!" Hilde said. Duo stared at her for a moment before slamming the door in her face. Loud banging could be heard from outside. "Open this door!" Hilde yelled. Soon later the banging stop and Hilde gave up. Duo sighed and turned around to others. "Now about what I was saying." Duo began taking a seat on the dryer. "Heero's going on a boating trip and asked Ojousan to come with him." The others began to get intrested. "How long?" Trowa asked. "Four days. He wants to go to some city. He's leaving Friday. That means Lena's got two days." Duo responded. "I think she'll go." "I think she'll stay." Quatre said. "Same." Wufei said. Everyone looked at Trowa. "What do you think Trowa?" Duo asked. "I don't know." Trowa responded. "We'll just have to wait and see." The next day had quickly come and Relena still hadn't made up her mind. It was frustrating. But what she couldn't figure out was, what was holding her back from going? "Last day. Decide." she thought as she walked down the street. She hadn't been watching where she was going and bumped into someone. She looked up to see green eyes. She smiled. "This is the second time that's happened." she said. Trowa slightly smiled. "I know." he said. "I heard about the boating trip." Relena's smile flatened slightly. "Oh," she said. "I might not go." "Why?" Trowa asked. "To tell you the truth, I really don't know." Relena responded. "Then what's holding you back?" Trowa asked. "That's the same thing I asked myself." Relena said. She looked back up at him. "Do you think I should go Trowa?" Trowa was quiet. "What would you do if you were me?" Relena asked. Trowa sighed. "Relena it's not my decision, it's yours. The only one that's holding you back is you." he said. His voice had suddenly gotten sharper at the last part of what he said. Trowa began to walk away. "I have to get going." Relena watched as he left but quickly got in front of him. Trowa stopped. Relena looked up at him. "Trowa...no it's you who's holding me back." she said. "You don't want me to go, do you?" Trowa kept silent. "Tell me if you want me to go or not?" "I don't care!" Trowa exclaimed. "How is what I'm going to say going change anything?! Just go with Heero Relena!" He beagn to walk away not wanting to look back. Relena watched him walk away until he was out of sight. "So you don't think she's coming with you?" Duo asked. "No." Heero responded. "It's Friday. She would have told me sooner." The two were loading the last stuff Heero needed onto the boat. He was leaving early that evening. Duo sighed. "Women are just that way sometimes." he said. "I heard that." The two looked up to see Hilde walking towards them. "Duo I know your not talking about your Hilde that way?" "No of course not babe." Duo responded with a lopsided grin. Hilde smiled and turned to Heero. "Hey Heero, could you get me a souviner?" she asked. "Sure." Heero responded loading another box on the ship. Hilde suddenly frowned. Heero surprisingly looked unhappy, but tried hard not to show it. "Relena, can't you decide?" she thought. "Can't I decide?" Relena thought as plopped down on her bed. Today was the final day. Relena had spent the whole week just making this decision. She sighed. "I know what I'm going to do." she said. "What time is it?" Duo asked. "It's..." Hilde glanced at her watch. "3:55pm." "Two more hours." Duo said. "She's not coming." He frowned. Hilde looked up at Heero. He had finished loading the last stuff. She smiled. "Look on the bright side, you have all the food to yourself Heero." she said. Heero gave her a look. "And if you don't want it. I'd be glad to take it off of your hands." Duo said. Both Hilde and Heero rolled their eyes and Hilde smacked his shoulder. "What?! What I say?!" he exclaimed. "I made my choice." Relena said over the phone. "Finally Relena." Sally said. "But can you do me a favor?" Relena asked. "What?" Sally asked. Relena smiled. "See me off." she responded. "Right. I'll be at dock." With that two hung up. Relena grabbed her duffle bag and left her apartment. "Hey Q-man!" Duo exclaimed. "What are you doing here?" Quatre blinked. "Where's Sally? She told me to meet her here." he said. "Your not the only one." The three looked up to see Catherine coming towards them. "Sally told me to come to the dock. Now where's Sally?" "Right here." The all looked to see Sally coming towards them. She walked past them and to Heero. She smiled. "Relena wanted us...to see her off." she said. "You mean she coming?" Duo asked and Sally nodded. "Heero!" Everyone tunred around for the third time to see Relena running towards them. She ran up to Heero. She smiled. "I'm sorry I'm late." she said. "I want to come with you." "I knew she wanted to go with him." whispered Hilde to Catherine and Catherine nodded. A small smile appeared on Heero's lips as he extended his hand towards Relena. Relena's smile widended and without a word she put her hand in his. "Don't forget to bring us back a souviner!" Duo called as the boat set sail. "Bye Lena!" Hilde yelled. "Bye Hilde!" Relena called back. "I'm going to have a great time." she thought. "I'm not having a great time." Relena mumbled. "Why?" Heero asked. Relena glanced out the window. The two were below deck. When they had left, it had seemed that it would be a clear night. But it was the complete opposite. First it was rain, then the wind, and last and loudest, thunder. They were both in the bedroom, watching the storm. "There's a thunderstorm outside, and I absolutley hate.." Relena was cut off when a very loud blot of thunder broke from the sky. She screamed and grabbed Heero's arm. Heero looked down at her and began to laugh. Relena blushed and looked up at him. "Why are you laughing?!" she exclaimed. Heero continued to laugh. "Your scared." he said. "I am not!" Relena said. Heero stopped laughing. He made his way towards the bed and sat down. He kept his eyes on Relena and finally spoke. "Are you afraid?" Relena was silent for a moment beofre answering. "I've always been afraid. Ever since I was 6." "What you do about it?" Heero asked. Relena sighed and made her way towards the bed. Her nightgown swishing back and forth, lightly hitting her ankles. She sat down next to Heero. She looked at him for a moment before she began. "One night there was a thunderstorm and I had been too afraid to go to sleep. My mother had tried everything to get me to sleep. So finally, when it seemed hopeless, she did one last thing." Relena stopped and looked up at Heero to see his expression was serious and he was listening attentively. "She climbed into my bed, wrapped her arms around me and stayed with me until I fell asleep. Each time there was a thunderstorm, she'd always do that." Relena smiled. "I always looked forward to it." Her smile dissapeared. "But...when I was 16, she died. That night after her burial, there was a thunderstorm. But someone came, someone I least expected." She turned towards Heero. "You. What was so strange was, that you did exactly the same thing my Mom did. I was in the living room, crying. You walked over towards me, and wrapped your arms around me." The two were quiet for a long while. Abruptly Heero's arms wrapped around Relena's waist and he brought her closer towards him. Relena looked up at him to see his face was unreadable. She couldn't tell what he was thinking. He stared at Relena, and as each minute passed Relena got more anxious. "Are you.." Heero began. "Still afraid?" Relena nodded slowly and before she knew Heero had layed down on the bed bringing her along with him. He wrapped the blankets around them, still keeping his arms around Relena's waist. Relena placed her head on his chest. She could feel her eyelids get heavy. She hugged Heero tightly. "..Heero.." she mumured before she fell asleep. Heero looked down at her and softly kissed her forehead. "Good-night Relena." he said as he quickly fell asleep. How was it? I'm sorry for those TxR fans, but I had to do this. I've been ignoring the HxR fans. Also I wanted to add the the little fluff scene. Well I hope you enjoyed it. |
