Personality: Kion is very quiet and serious. He is a scholar and a warrior, a rarity among both his peoples. He has been taught to revere knowledge by his elven father and to fight for the vulnerable by his venerable mother. Kion has a strong sense of honor and his word is his bond. He takes lovers rarely, preferring to get to know a woman before bedding her. He has had only two, women he had known for a few years. He still has fond memories of both.

He can be very stubborn and strong-willed, but is willing to see both sides of an argument. Convincing him to change his mind is another matter completely. He is an excellent warrior and rider, always seeking to better himself. His horse, a rangy black named Wave Dancer, seems to almost read his master's mind. Man and horse are very close, often fighting as one being in battles. He is much feared and respected by enemies and greatly respected and admired by his friends and allies.

Kion enjoys travel and often leaves home for weeks at a time. He only takes his horse and a bedroll with him on these forays and loves to sleep under the stars. He has an active imagination and has his own stories of the shapes the starts spin. He seeks knowledge of all sorts and has learned some magic. He specializes in water and air magic and spends much of his time in contact with those two elements. His greatest wish is to learn to soar with the birds in the sky.

He was taught to swim early by his mother, Aliana, who had an intense love of the sea. He gained her love and has many seashells and things from the sea in his room. From his father, he learned a love of mountains and forests and spends an equal amount of time in all three areas. He seeks a companion to help him travel and learn about new places.

Kion practices his magic as often as he can and can even make avatars out of water or air. These avatars possess limited intelligence, but are very good at doing assigned tasks. Kion also practices using his magic in battles and has fought his way out of seemingly unsurvivable fights. He has great luck, but doesn't depend on it. He knows how fickle a mistress Lady Luck can be. He searches for a mate as well as a companion and has yet to find a woman to match him. He seeks to bond a gryphon from Alabaster Aerie and waits impatiently for the eggs to hatch.
