On Thursday 26 March I had a day of, and was joined by friend & fellow Weasel flyer Eli who sneaked away from work early. Winds were very light (5-6Mph with sometime short bursts of 7-8Mph). Just enough to maiden my Mini Weasel. Here are some pics:

This one is a pair of firsts: the first Israeli Unicorn, and the first Israeli Mini Weasel

And this is the view from the slope overlooking the Meditarenean beach Northwards. A little further south the slope is a bit steeper (about 45-50 degrees)

Eli pre-flights his Weasel Pro

Weasel Pro over the beach.

We both had to do this a few times. Because we are both used to flying over water, we were feeling very safe here, flying over the beach. Which made us fly a bit careless. And when you do that in light air, well let's just say we got plenty of exersise...

Eli also brought a foamboard scratch build. A bit reminiscent of the flying pizza. To our surprise it sloped incredibly good!

Here one of the foamboard riding the air waves.

The first Mini Weasel flight.

After some re-adjustment of throws and exponentials it flew great! When launched in the light air it would jump 3-4 meters up, and I could fly it even hands of after a bit of trimming. There still is a porpoising problem, but that will be sorted out before my next trip to the slope.

Taking a breather.

Who said you can't discuss launch the Weasel Pro?

The discus launching went well. Hand catching needs some more practice.

A last one of Eli's Weasel Pro over the beach.

And a last one of my Mini Weasel. It's that dot in the sky, top right...
