Chapter Two
Power of the Emerald Moon
As blonde haired Dario walked into the bed chamber behind his wife he spoke with a worried tone, “Riddel, this is exactly why I ask that you do not go into the valley alone. I don’t  know what I would do if...”
Dario was cut short by his wife as she pulled a dress from her bureau drawer, “I know Dario, but please, we must help this woman right now, you and I shall talk later.”
“...As you wish... Glenn and Norris should have brought her to the manor by now, I asked them to take her to the east wing guest room, Marcy is there, waiting to do any necessary healing...”
Riddel nodded her head with approvement, “thank you dear, please tell daddy about our guest, I want to go see if she’s regained consciousness yet.. If so, she’ll need to be washed, changed.. as well, I wish to ask her a few questions.” She turned to leave, “ I hardly know anything about this woman, but I must save her..”
Before Riddel could go any further she was brought to a halt as Dario grabbed hold of her hand and pulled her to his chest. She looked up and was met by a kiss from her lover. “I’m so relieved that you made it back alright..” whispered Dario, whom was still shaking at the scare of losing his true love again, “ you have no perception about how much I love you.. and worry about you.. I never wish to lose you again..”
“You will never, I promise,” The lady of Viper Manor smiled, then quicky slipped away with the dress down to see their wounded guest.
Dario sighed and sat down on a nearby chair, “what an incredible woman... I only hope that after the initial shock wears off.. That she is not crushed...... If the wounded young woman survives it will be a miracle...”

“I’m surprised that woman is alive after an attack like that, what about you Glenn?” asked Norris as the duo walked towards the west wing of Viper Manor. “It’s quite odd that she survived, nonetheless stayed conscious long enough to call Riddel for help...” Norris added as he fixed his belt. “Glenn, did you hear me..?”
“Hmm..? Oh, yes of course.. do excuse my drifting off..”
“... alright, any way, what are your thoughts on the matter?”
“Well, I must agree, I share the same opinion as yourself, that is if she does not take a turn for the worst,” stated the knight. “ But, did she not seem the least bit... mysterious, per say, to you? Perhaps she has inner strengths we do not know of...”
“What do you mean?” inquired Norris with his head cocked to one side, “she was unconscious when we got there and has been ever since as far as we know..”
As they arrived at the knight’s quarters Glenn turned to Norris and spoke, “yes I suppose you have a point.... but now I must speak with my brother, I shall see you afterwards,” he nodded, “until then,” and was gone within seconds.
Norris shook his head as he sauntered into the room, sat down on his bed then took the belt which held his pistol to his chest and placed it on the night stand. “That sure was odd.. I have never heard Glenn ask such questions.. then again, I suppose it isn’t too often that we bring in unconscious women to be taken care of.” Although, Glenn was the type who, usually quite serious, focussed upon one aspect at a time. In this case his position in the dragoons, a love life never seemed to interest him.. Or perhaps he was just the kind whom never talked of such matters.
Either way, the former Porre officer let the subject quicky drift from his mind as he pushed back his short blonde hair from his face then started to remove his boots and greaves. After the journey with Serge, Porre had left the continent, and returned to the mainland. Although, he had decided against such actions and left Porre to stay behind in El Nido. With such skills as his, General Viper quicky offered him a position in the dragoons, and he became a private, the same rank as Glenn. With Porre’s absence from El Nido, the joyful atmosphere of Termina returned. As well, with the news of Dario’s reappearance, both the people of Termina and those in Viper Manor were ecstatic with celebration. Norris’ beliefs were no longer with Porre, but with those of the Dragoons, yet the young man sighed as he took off his jacket and belt with ease and placed them upon the night stand next to the rest of his attire, then layed down upon the soft mattress. Although everything seemed to be better than previously, he still wondered if he had made the right decision.
