The Other Perception
Always Watching Yet Never Seen..
Hidden, standing behind a shrub in the park
Observing every movement he made
Gazing at every gesture, the specific
Noticed not was she, by him or any of the mortals
Walker, hunter... goddess of the night
Child of darkness, angel of death, princess of destruction
Watching her prince from afar
She gave a sigh
Disappearing into the darkness
Eternal orb, savage garden of life
Again, gone, before he pinpointed her
asking herself for the millionth time
Why leave her prince, why depart from her true being of love
She already knew why

Gracefully she sauntered across the park
With feline movements
Coming to weeping willow, she lowered herself and crouched
Almost as if to pounce upon some unsuspecting prey
No need, she had already fed
Her body now warm from the precious liquid
Yet hard as marble like always
And so she stayed, like a statue locked in a time warp
Silky, smooth, flawless white skin
Green eyes peeking out from under her hooded cloak
Her nails, clear as glass, reflecting the moon rays
Then shifting, she put her weight towards the trunk
Laying now, almost, supported by the tree she thought

40 years ago she parted form her love
For his sake
Immortality, he did not understand
Ironically, love, he did
But for an eternal companion
That of which would not go stupidly into the sun
Like many 'children' did
She subsided
Left him to figure out on his won, the only way
That which she already knew
Was it time?
Mastered the vampire arts, the human feelings
That of which he could not do previously
Even in the 460 years they had experienced with their new blood
Romantic companions, mates

It was time, or time enough she thought
She brushed a lock of hair form her face
Long brown hair, mostly hidden behind her cloak
Time.. yes long enough
40 years she lived in utter misery
All along, keeping watch over her love
Live forever, a wonderful experience
With him... but when alone
A living hell
She parted her soft pink lips
Then closed them again

A devious smile crept across her face
She thought of how it was to be
Safe within his arms again
Loneliness abolished forever
To feel whole again, find her missing half
Ah, to be one again with her vampiric lover
Her world united once more, her utopia
And with that she rose
Her hood falling off her head, to lay against her back
The thought of eternal happiness branded into her mind
The joyful face, like a painted picture
She was back, and to her lover she now went
Across the park, to where the city starts
She spotted him
She stood frozen for the moment
Like what she saw wasn't there, wasn't true
She shook her head and continued to stare

Out of the shadows she walked
He saw her, she gazed on
Oh the memories, the joy, to see him again
In a whole new light, this time not to disappear
To soon run into his arms
And find the comfort again, experience the passion
That of which she longed so much for
She missed so much
Oh how she loved him, more than the world itself
And to be like this forever, she wanted nothing more than that
Her dreams come true
Then she came out of her hypnotic state
Which she abruptly fallen into
Only to see him looking back at her
With sympathy, joy and love

And through her green eyes she saw
Her vampiric match
Strong build, taller than her, well muscled
Glimmering white as she
Crystal nails glowing in the moonlight
Squarish face, detailed lips
Short yet flowing auburn hair
With vibrant, lustrous chestnut eyes
Full of life, gazing back at her
The memories restored
As well as the happiness
They could read each others thoughts
A vampire trait

Never again would they part
All lessons they had interest in, learned
Forever more, all that was needed would be each other
They, the immortal alpha and omega of the millennium
And all those to come
The goddess Venus, no competition for the pair
Overwhelming and everlasting

Slowly they came together
Knowing all, each other's story, pain and love
Embracing, then mouths crushing over one another
To be united as one, immortal lovers, truly content
Arm and arm they walked
Smiles branded, thoughts at climax, vampire souls matched
Down the so well know path of one
Now known, by a pair, the mates
The vampire lovers
The dark children
The night walkers
