Rufus and Tifa walked up to Elena and Tseng at the entrance of the complex, Rufus was obviously trying to comfort the martial artist.
"Where's Rude..?" questioned Elena.
"He's coming.. just had to.. take care of something.." answered Rufus.
"Yeah.. kill more of the Wolves' damnable creations!" cried Tifa.
"I'll assume you mean the ones we fought earlier, like the kitten in your arms?" questioned Tseng with a raised eyebrow.
Tifa nodded, then Rufus spoke, "yeah, there's more in a secret compartment in the basement.."
Elena, deciding to think upon something else turned and brushed a strand of mahogany hair off the ninja's face, "poor dear.."
Tseng laughed, "you talk as though you're so much older than her Elena."
The blond grinned, "guess I just feel older lately."
"Why's that?" the male questioned.
She shrugged, then smiled, "here comes Rude. Though he's walking strangely.."
Walking up to Elena Rude leaned forward and whispered something, causing the blonde woman to smile then speak.
"Tifa, c'mere." persuaded the blonde as she beckoned the brunette.
Looking to Rufus, the martial artist shrugged and walked over to the couple, Riane still cuddled against her chest.
"I found something we um-didn't expect to-you girls take care of them" Rude explained rather quickly as he opened his blue Turks uniform jacket to reveal three small bundles, about the size of Riane. Tifa gasped as she looked at the small figures, Elena just looked on with soft eyes.
Picking up one of the kittens, Elena placed it in Tifa's arms with Riane. "They don't seem to be conscious yet.." explained the blonde.
"I believe the treatment will keep them knocked out for awhile.." explained Tseng as he observed Elena taking the other two furry bundles out of Rude's jacket.
"Their life force seemed fine by the computer stats, and they have a pulse," stated Rude, glad to be relieved of the creatures.
"We'll have to watch them for a couple days once they wake up, just incase the treatment affects them," stated Elena. "Though, they're so young, I doubt it couldn't have done much yet."
As Tifa walked back to Rufus he just shook his head, "I think we're going to need a bigger place, really." Leaning over and whispering something to Tifa she nodded in response, Rufus started out the door, the martial artist right behind him. Elena and Rude followed, and Tseng pulled up the rear with Yuffie in his arms. Gladly, Rude had taken the folders and shuriken from him.
"We need to get the other three.." stated Elena.
"Speak of the devil," expressed Tifa as she saw Vincent walking towards them. They all stopped in their places as they met.
"Back to your normal body I see," stated Rufus.
"True, it only lasts until the enemy is gone." replied Vincent.
"So Diego is dead?" questioned Tseng.
"Not quite," Valentine explained, "he hit me.. well. Chaos with an attack then fled."
"Well, it's better than another casualty," stated Rufus.
"Speaking of such.." Vincent started, "Reno has Karia with him, they went to the cars. She passed out not long after her limit break."
Tifa sighed in relief, "she's still alive at least."
"Indeed, she seems to be healing on her own actually.." stated the raven haired man.
"Regeneration?" question Rufus with a raised eyebrow.
"Seems so, not overly drastic or quick, but that's what I'd say.." Vincent replied.
"Let's go back to the cars then.." stated Tifa, "No point in standing out here," said the martial artist as she hugged the two felines against her and started to walk back towards the cars, followed by the rest of her comrades.
Reno looked up from Karia as the drivers door opened and Vincent got in and looked back at him holding the unconscious female.
"You two alright?" questioned Vincent.
"Yeah.. We'll be fine," the red head replied as he looked down at the woman lying against his chest. "What about the others?"
"They're alright.. Tifa and Rufus found Yuffie in the complex as well however, Tseng's got her.."
"The ninja?" questioned Reno as he looked back up to the older man.
Vincent nodded then the passenger door opened and Rufus got in and smirked to Reno.
"Well that's definitely something I hadn't planned to see in this lifetime," smiled the blond.
"Fuck off Rufus," spat Reno. "Don't make us leave you here after all," he smirked with a sudden mood change.
"Yeah yeah.." Spoke the blonde as he sat down in the seat.
"Don't worry Reno, you're not the only one with some newfound emotions," stated Vincent as both the blond and the red head turned to look at him.
"What do you mean-" started Reno who was interrupted.
"I have feelings for Tifa," Rufus stated blandly. He wasn't in the mood for Reno's prying.
"Lockheart?" questioned the redhead as Rufus nodded. "Heh, who would've thought.." he shook his head.
"Likewise.."
"Where is she any way?" questioned Vincent.
"She insisted on staying with Yuffie, I'll meet up with her when we get back to the place." voiced Rufus who then looked back at Reno and Karia. "You ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine.. ‘Ria's limit break healed me up.."
"And how is she?" questioned the blond again.
Reno frowned as he looked at her then turned to Rufus, "her wound is healing itself it seems.. I'm not really sure how she is.. I would assume better though."
Rufus nodded and turned forward again, "let's go."
Vincent started the car and looked in the rearview mirror to see a concerned redhead inspecting the wound of the brunette he held. Who would've thought..
With that he started home.
"Guess we're going now," voiced Elena as she watched the other sports car start it's way down the path. Looking down at the kittens in her lap she smiled, then frowned. Poor things.. No mother, well, at least now Tifa and I can take care of them. She smiled again as her husband laid a hand on her thigh.
Tifa sat in the back with Tseng who still held Yuffie. I hope she'll be alright thought Tifa as she looked down at Riane and the second kitten that lay in her lap asleep.
"Ugh..." a voice sounded and Tifa looked over to see Yuffie's eyes slowly open.
"T-Tifa..?" questioned the young ninja as she seemingly flinched as she tried to sit up, then fell back against Tseng. Looking up, she blinked at the former Turk leader then looked back to Tifa.
"Teef.." she started, "why is there a dead man holding me..?"
