"Tseng, you've got to be kidding me. I mean... it just doesn't add up!" pouted Elena with a childish fold of her arms over her chest. "Hmph... It doesn't sound good to me."
The Wutaian shook his head, "how often do I 'kid' around, Elena?"
"Well not very often, but there was that time that–"
"Elena..."
"Fine fine alright, okay.. Sooo let's say Reno WAS attacked last night, how do you know he's safe now?" the petite blonde question, with obvious concern.
"Karia informed me this morning that he's fine, and she's got him. We're to pick them up at 11pm tonight just outside of Costa de Sol," Tseng explained to the woman before him.
"I don't know how you can trust her!... I..I mean.. how do you know she won't turn on us!?" confessed Elena in an exasperated voice. "How do you know she hasn't already killed him or has been plotting to get back at Rufus all this time? It could be a grand conspiracy!" she shouted. She never had been good with uncertainty, and right now she was very far from being certain of anything.
"Elena... you talk to much.." voiced Rude, who had been sitting behind both she and Tseng for the conversation, quiet until now.
"I just talk enough for the both of us Rude!" exclaimed Elena with a pout and obvious annoyance.
"...Think for a second dear.. How often is Tseng ever.. Mistaken?" explained Rude calmly.
"Oh don't dear me Rude, now's not the time to try and be mushy with me. Tseng I demand to know WHY we should trust this Kiki or whatever her name is!"
"Karia... because, Rufus has met her and has conversed with her many a time, and I've been in contact with her for over half a year. Her identity was just kept on the down low. Besides, she'll be a valuable asset in helping us get Rufus back. She could take any of us down single handedly more than likely. So if she wanted to do something to hurt us I'm sure she would've completed such buy now," Tseng stated. "Do treat her as a fellow Turk," he added as though he were speaking to a chid, and sometimes, speaking to Elena was just the same.
"Oh.... well uh.. it er.. it took you long enough to tell us that!" mumbled Elena as she took a seat, defeated.
"..I told you that you talk to mu-" Rude stopped as he was interrupted.
"Shut up Rude." snapped Elena. "So, Tseng, what's so special about this Karia any way, seeming as hardly anyone knew she existed, I thought I was the first female to make it to the level of Turk? And now you say she could take any one of us down single handedly? Since when were things like that kept a secret? You know Shinra loved to boast is power to the world, she would've been no exception I would think."
"You were the first, Karia is the second, but she's not like any of us here, or Reno. She's quite advanced actually. As I've said, I don't know a great deal about the woman, as she's mainly dealt with Rufus. As for why Shinra didn't boast about her.. I'm not sure, maybe it was an inside operation. President Shinra, or even Rufus for that matter were never informed of everything. President Shinra was owned actually, by his own company, and he didn't even know it. Anything's possible," Tseng explained while Elena nodded in contentment.
"So... you think we'll get Rufus back with her help?" inquired Rude as he removed his sunglasses to wipe off a smudge, his amber eyes only peeping out for a moment before shaded once again by the glasses.
Tseng nodded," I believe we three plus Reno could've gotten Rufus back, Karia's just going to secure the deal."
"The Wolves picked the wrong group of body guards to piss of this time around!" chirped Elena as she'd already forgotten about the previous defeat she'd faced.
"That's right. No one messes with the Turks. Let's just hope Reno behaves himself around Karia, or he could come back in more pieces that one..." stated Tseng as he left the room.
"....he's doomed.." sighed Rude.
