Our efficiency unit is room 127 at the Hawaiian Inn. We have stayed at this motel since 1970 and we always enjoyed having an ocean view first floor room facing the pool area. We never had to deal with hallways and elevators in order to run back to the room to pick up something we forgot or needed while laying in the sun.
The lobby of the Hawaiian Inn has a coffee shop that serves great inexpensive breakfasts. There is a gift shop that has bathing suits, beach items and other misc. stuff. Also, Hawaiian Inn is known for its Polynesian Revue restaurant which has a dinner show and a karaoke bar on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
The outdoor olympic sized pool is only 6 feet deep at the deepest point and most of the pool is only 4 feet deep. The heated indoor pool and spa is directly across from our effiency. The pool side Tiki Bar serves drinks and lunch.
There are ocean side hammocks shaded by palm trees and lush tropical plants. Many people enjoy the shade of the tiki hut while watching the beach and pool activities. Enjoy beachside putt putt and shuffleboard.
Daytona Beach allows cars to drive on the beach during the day. Beach vendors for renting golfcarts or ATV 4 wheelers as well as food vendors are conveniently located for Hawaiian Inn guests. There are several fun restaurants in the Hawaiian Inn area and links to their websites are listed below. The South Daytona Beach video cam will give you something to enjoy while waiting for your vacation. Make sure you turn the sound up on your computer, so you can hear the surf.
