On August 30th, 2003, at Autumn Rose in the Shire of Rokecliff, Their Stellar Highnesses Leif and Astrid held two courts. Herald is charge was Alasdair Montgomery, Polaris Herald

As part of the public demo, there was a short court:

1) Old business - TE Nilkos and Aramanthra were called up and they present HE Aubrey with his scroll and membership in the Iron Watch

2) Isabella of Lub Siochail - AoA

3) Justin of Shattered Oak - Griffin's Gem

Evening Court: After the public demo was done, another court was held. Lady Catalina Ramizez de Aragon assisted as a herald with this court.

Their Stellar Highnesses brought with them into Court a small puppy.

"Here opens the Court of Northshield…and a puppy."

Scroll of Honor was on display and Their Highnesses invited all to view it.

Ryan McWashin had had a birthday the previous day—he’s ten—and his father came forth to gift him with armor.

HSH Astrid: "There’s a song we probably all know."

Master Chandler: "This is your Birthday Song. It isn’t very long…oh the other one."

Lord Torquil McLachlan—originally had a different prize but decided to give something more whimsical/appropriate instead--Inigo had just authorized and won a tournament on the same day so he was gifted with the sword that he had won the tournament with.

Kudrun and Gwyn brought prized for the Archers:

Kudrun said, in describing that days activities, that "…way more fun than should be legal". She than asked the crowd…"What do archers need…glasses" So, decided to give drinking classes with a quotation from a 1545 archery manual. They chose archers that best represented Northshield: Gille Michael Strachan and Broadgeller.

During this the small dog had proceeded to chase a cricket around in front of the thrones, thus pretty much stealing the show.

Their Highnesses also distributed the NS regalia to Rokeclif that had been made by Falcon’s Keep (see WWX notes).

HSH Astrid: "[Since you’re such a whimisical guy] why don’t you just leap up here" which he did.
