Visible and Political Representation
A growing number of local and global and international organizations and websites now increasingly recognize the importance of women's herstory and exploited people's history equally along with men's and majority history, to telling and (re)visioning the whole her-his-story of past, present and future of the Earth. This certainly must everywhere include the Earth's and all its lands' and regions' architecture and landscape architecture, and important document archives, as well. It is increasingly important worldwide that women's organizations and clubs, equality and minority preservationists, neighborhood and city citizens associations, herandhistorians including women's and men's studies programs, and futurists work together both locally and globally, so that women and men and their daughters and sons can be assured that the past is restored, preserved, and that the living representation of equality, dignity and beauty, be fulfilled now and always.
This is important to meaningful and ecologically sound urban, rural and global planning, too. More organizations are increasingly informing themselves on the issue of equal representation of women and men in national legislatures, as well a executive and judicial office, and international assemblies as well as town and city councils and planning commissions. For example, the city government of Paris, by gender parite law, is now about 50-50 female and male, an important factor in attending to the public places along with all law and well-being of the City of Love, and the Wales National Assembly, perhaps a harbinger of the return of a modern Avalon-Camelot not that far from Glastonbury associated with the ancient Avalon and Camelot in still otherwise currently gender-backward "modern" England (ranking 50th in the world with only 17% representation of women) is also 50-50 female and male, something that will assist in preservation as it does all duties of government, and the ultimate meaning of freedom, shared wisdom and beauty that Welsh and Celtic poetry and mythology inspire worldwide. It is likely that successful her-historical preservation, that goes beyond the token and deceptively cosmetic, and real political representation of women and men as partners in all branches of government, are highly correlated, so some links on this women's representation at all levels of government issues are also included on this website.
When the Statue of Libery was "unveiled", women could not vote, and suffragist's could only circle the Statue on boats in the harbor, and sadly today, the US still ranks 60th, far behind most literate countries in representation of women, its 13% women in Congress only about 1/2 of the 25-40% women originally proposed as the minimum for women for the new Iraq Constitution! In contrast, the women of India, the country of the Taj Mahal have already received near passage of a 1/3 minimum for women in its Congress, and are striving for numbers even closer to those once only met in Scandinavia, which has already been matched by Rwanda and other African countries. Anna Karamanou, the highest ranking woman in the European Union, is of Greek heritage, the culture that gave the world not only beginning concepts of democracy but also some of its most influential temple and statue architecture, such as that to the Goddess above, so often used in government buildings, and many of the top ranking countries of the world in representation in Scandinavia and Europe are working to bring full representation to women throughout Europe and the world. Today, women and men worldwide are working to restore all the meanings of representation -- in politics as well as in the living records of art, archives and architecture, and in the building of peace itself. Because it is when women are as well represented in legislative and all public office as men, and as clearly present in office as their image, inspiration and influence on architecture and concepts of beauty, that the peace off the world will be truly Indivisible, and the greatest joy to behold for women and men of peace everywhere.

This truly globally architectural masterpiece
campus once Women's Seminary was allowed to fall into great disrepair but
is now beginning a living restoration. It's story is especially interesting
because of its proximity to Washington DC, which has recently fallen shockingly
far behind most countries in women's representation. Maryland, the
US State where it is actually located, has 33% women in its legislature,
compared to only 13% in the US Congress nearby, but even Maryland is currently
far behind most of Western Europe and other countries.in women's representation
and restoration. The Pagoda above is from its campus. Some of the links
have excellent photos of its castle, hacienda, chalets, temple goddess
porticos, and other global architectural buildings needing restoration.

Avalon-Camelot Projects and Themes in Preservation and Archiving
Speaking of Film-making, the popular Mysts of Avalon TV series linked the destruction of Camelot (Civilization) with its ancient official men's/Camelot's failure to partner equally in decision-making and preservation with women/ Avalon. This makes the Avalon-Camelot theme a useful background to start with in promoting the necessity of preservation of women's and women's and men's equality monuments, and understanding their anthropological context.

Alan Lupack and Barbara Tepa Lupack, a husband
and wife team, are the originators of this scholarly project,
which could benefit from changing it's name
from the Camelot Project to the Avalon-Camelot Project. It does
have extensive materials on both Avalon
and
other women's related menus as well as information on the men's
aspects of the story. Some linkage with the
many Mysts of Avalon and related new Holy Grail websites that emphasize
women's as well as men's realities is recommended to readers to further
enhance the vision.. For example, visit:
http://www.nmhu.edu/english/grad/wroz.htm
http://mzbworks.home.att.net/
These focus on the popular Mysts of Avalon literary works which
have reached hundreds of millions of women and men interested in not repeating
the gender mistakes of the past in decision-making and culture.

This is allegedly a comprehensive online archive
of government documents, but the lack of a section on women's
writings on political and equality empowerment
reveals an myopic officialism that perpetuates a bias toward parochial
sexism that could easily be remedied with some international gender cooperation.
Avalon, the name of this project, taken from the mythic Isle of Avalon
where women and men lead equally, is presently therefore ironic, but, again
the situation can be remedied. There is little or nothing here yet
on women's and women's equality documents. The page needs to work cooperatively
with such sites as
