Li Yanlong - Hebei Wushu Team
Li Yanlong began training in Wushu at the age of 8 years in
his hometown of Handan in the province of Hebei.
His first teacher was master Jin Hong Zhang, who began training Yanlong in the Shaolin Boxing style as well as numerous other traditional hand and weapon forms.
His second teacher was a woman with name Lue Rong
Qian, who also lived in Handan.  From her, Yanlong learned the Compulsory Boxing and Weapon styles of Competition Wushu.

His main events in Wushu competition were Monkey Boxing, Swordplay, 3 Section Cudgel & Sparring.

In 1974 Yanlong won the All-Round Championship at the Hebei
Wushu Championships. Finally in 1975 he was picked for the Hebei Profession Wushu Team. 

He was considered to be one of the top athletes on the team and in the following year (1976) he began participating in National Demonstrations in
Northern China, in the city Harbin.  The purpose of this demonstration was
to present the public with Wushu skills from all regions China. 

1980 was one of the most successful years of Yanlong's life.  He won first place in the Duilian (Set Sparring) event and also placed highly in the Cudgel division.
From 1980 - 1987 he was awarded many medals, all between first and fifth place. 

In 1983 Yanlong apeared in the hit film "South Shaolin Master" alongside Guangdong Team member Qiu Jian Guo.
