This man could easily be called the "South Fist King". Qiu Jian Guo was born in Guangdong and began training in the martial arts at an early age. As a member of the Guangdong Wushu Team he made Wushu history by winning the National Nan Chuan (Southern Style Boxing) Division 6 times!!
Aside from being one of China's martial arts heroes Qiu also appeared in several Hong Kong Movie blockbusters including "Once Upon a Time in China" which also starred another one of China's legendary martial artists, Li Lian Jie (Jet Li). Sadly there have been rumours that he passed away!! (R.I.P). He was last seen in Yuen Woo-Ping's excellent TV series "Tai Chi Master". |
