In Loving Memory of Marciano S. Abidog (1913 - 1999)
Marciano S. Abidog

Marciano S. Abidog

On June 6th, 1999, the beloved patriarch of the Abidog family -- Marciano Sahagun Abidog -- passed away. Words cannot express the sorrow and emptiness that we feel now that he is no longer with us. The only consolation that we have is knowing that he has gone on to a better place, and that someday, we will all see him again.

Amang, you were such a loving husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Never once did we doubt that you loved us. You took care of all of us without question nor regret. What will we do now without you? We love you and miss you. Thank you for always being there for us.

A Loving Grandfather and Great-
Grandfather...

We miss you and love you, Grandpa!

The following is a letter written by Amang in Ilocano, discovered after his death. It is addressed to no one, nor is it dated.
I am thanking God for His blessings and help in bringing my six children to America. In this picture of life, I can see the unity and happiness of my family, even though we still have to go through many of life's hardships. If I have to tell you my story, it is full of sacrifices and hard times. My parents worked like slaves, and throughout my life, I endured all kinds of hardship that never seemed to end. But with the help of God, and through hard work, honesty, and good deeds, the Almighty Father did not abandon me.

I hope that the picture of my life will never fade. I thank God so much.
