Rob's TE Clone Recumbent

It's great to finally live in a community that really supports cycling. I am fortunate to live within a mile of the end of a 5 mile greenway that ends at the Tennessee River. That may not seem like a lot to you, but to me it's just what I need for enjoyable exercise.

After my first bike ride down that greenway, I spied two recumbent bicycles, and I got the urge to build my own. Here are some of the highlights of my endeavor.

This project was based on instructions from the Recycled Recumbent. The plans are based on the original Tour Easy design by Easy Racers. Be sure to check out the Sun Bicycles web page.

This is one of those projects that seemed to take forever, although I've only been working on it for about two months. -- 8/28/04

I added a new seat cover after about 700 miles. (5/27/07) It is made of pet screen.
