Jeff Beal has already scored more than 25 films and TV shows, including Pollock, starring Ed Harris; Door To Door, starring William H. Macy; The Passion of Ayn Rand, starring Helen Mirren; and Family Law (CBS). He also scored episode nine of the Tom Hanks mini-series From Earth to the Moon (HBO), which starred Monk's own Ted Levine as astronaut Alan Sheppard.
As a jazz trumpet player, Mr. Beal has released seven solo CDs for Unitone, Triloka, and Island Records, and has recorded with a number of leading jazz artists including Chick Corea, John Patitucci, and Vinnie Colaiuta. As a concert composer, Beal's music has been played by many leading orchestras and chamber groups worldwide.
As a film and TV composer, Beal's distinctive music has often been used to create a musical sound for intriguing or offbeat characters, Adrian Monk being his most recent challenge.
