Lieutenant Randall Disher
Lt. Disher plays a figurative "Boy Friday" to Captain Stottlemeyer. More ambitious than bright, Disher relishes every oppertunity to bolster the ego and reputation of his commanding officer. He is often the first to rebuff Monk's sometimes outlandish deductions, and can also never resist the opportunity to taunt Monk's "Watson," Sharona.
