BRIEF SUMMARY OF SPEECH REVERSALS

Speech Reversals are another form of verbal communication which was discovered about fifteen years ago by an Australian.  His web page is one of my favorite links: Reverse Speech, found on my home page.  He researched it and established guidelines and criteria which must be met to be verified as a genuine reversal. Speech reversals occur when you speak.  They are words, phrases, and sentences formed by the sounds heard when the speaker is taped and then the tape is played in reverse.  It was originally used by studios which inserted words in reverse in rock and roll music back in the '50's and 60's.  It was called music masking.  However, it was discovered there were other words being revealed in reverse play that the studio had not inserted.  These were coming from the performers' subconscious and conscious.  This was a startling discovery which led to the fifteen year research. Reversals can come in the form of metaphors (thinking in images), as well as literal communications.  Whatever the communication, it is always about the subject of the spoken words producing the reversal.  It can agree, contradict, expound or answer what is being said or responded to.  Since it eminates mostly from the subconscious, it reveals what the speaker believes is the truth.  It will indicate when the speaker is lying, much like graphology does. In essence, what speech reversals do is tell the trained analyst what a person is thinking when speaking.  It takes considerable training to be able to analyze for speech reversals.  They must meet certain criteria, such as be distinct, contain every syllable of the word, do not run together with other words, etc.  Then the information must be analyzed for it's meaning.  The more emotional, excited or nervous the speaker is, the clearer  and more distinct  and numerous the reversals are.  Be assured that the Federal government's intelligence-gathering agencies are aware of speech reversals!
