Ebony showed her evilness and deceit when Amber died on Eagle Mountain. The things is, she knew Amber was alive, and it was her that made it so Amber did not return to the Mall. She told Amber that she and Bray had a kid, and persuaded her not to return to the Mall.
Deep down, Ebony is a good person, and one of her only weaknesses is the candle she holds for Bray. She's always had a thing for Bray, but could it be that now she holds a new candle, for tall, dark and handsome Pride?
