| A couple of years ago Helen and I organised a Kids' Christmas Party for my old Rover Crew. It was a huge success, and so we did it again this year. It was great to catch up with all the old Rovers, many of whom we rarely see anymore, but it's quite obvious when we get together that we are friends for life. There were games and races like we used to have when we were children - sack races, egg-and-spoon races and tugs of war (with a rope that kept breaking), and Santa arrived and gave out presents, and faces got painted and there was much eating and drinking until we headed home tired out at the end of the day. |
