Do you have the passion for design? Does the thought of color swatches give you goose bumps?? When you walk in a room do you immediately start re-designing it? We feel that same passion and intrigue for design as you do. ASID is here to assist you with the tools and contacts you need to keep that desire for design and all things related to it growing. Without you, there would be no reason for ASID! We provide the latest information on industry trends and research through the award-winning bimonthly Society publication ASID ICON as well as give you access to a network of design professionals through events and chapter meetings. We strive to give you access to educational materials to learn more and succeed. Student Membership includes such benefits as: • ASID ICON- The Society's quarterly magazine informs students of cutting edge design research and business trends, along with key national and chapter issues. ASID ICON ™ is mailed to all ASID members. • Design Daily - a daily digest of global design related news. A collaboration between ASID and US News and World Reports. • ASID News Flash - delivers need-to-know design and Society news biweekly to your desktop. • ACCESS - This student-written newsletter is published three times per year and sent to all student members and other design professionals. • AIU Global Edge Grant - AIU and ASID have partnered together to create an exclusive grant for ASID student members to study abroad in London. • Career Days - ASID professional chapters provide an introduction to the many career options open to interior design students. • ASID Online - The ASID Web site has information created especially for student members. In addition, student members have access to the Membership Directory, Industry Partner directory, discussion boards, Capitol Connections, and other features and services. • RealWorld DesignWeek - a national mentoring program that will provide ASID student members career development resources through classroom and hands-on experience and will focus on the real world of interior design. • ASID Connex - an ASID exclusive online networking community, coming soon.
