The Remus/Hermione Page

Hermione Granger and Remus Lupin first met on board the Hogwarts Express at the beginning of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, when Remus was to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.

It could be assembled that Hermione looked up to Remus as a very talented teacher, and she even "glowed" under his praise. Whatever she actually felt for him, it was strong enough to keep Hermione from telling anyone- not even her two best friends, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley- the truth that Remus was a werewolf, as she discovered this on the course of her studies. Only a life-and-death confrontation and his seeming betrayal of her trust led her to reveal this particular truth.

Remus does not appear in the fourth book,
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire but he is back in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, reprising his role as one of Harry's closest guardians. He and Hermione interact very little, as Remus was no longer a teacher but an active member of the Order of the Phoenix.

The relationship between Hermione and Remus is, arguably, one of the most interesting ones in the Harry Potter series, since it was not fully explained until the present course of the book why Hermione went the distance of "covering up" for her teacher. Likewise, this action most likely had a significant impact on Remus, because it is very rare when someone discovers and hides a werewolf's secret- yet her trust in him endures.

Hopefully in the next two books, Hermione and Remus will interact more.
