In Loving Memory ...
Botswood Newfy Lady
July 1985 - February 1994

"Lady"
Here
are pictures of "Lady", who was our first Irish Setter. She was
unregistered but still very much an Irish. My late husband Chico
gave her the name Botswood Newfy Lady because she was
born in Botswood, Newfoundland. I can still remember the evening
that Lady came to us in October 1985 while we were stationed at
the military base in Gander, Newfoundland (1984 - 1987).
Lady taught me a lot about the Irish way and antics. She also
taught me a lot about obedience. Lady was one leg away from CDX
when we learned that she had cancer. I retired her right away and
made her as comfortable as possible until the day came to say "See ya later girl" (tears still come).

"Lady" always claimed that no one told her that you couldn't stalk dicky birds.
