My name is Allen Granger I am 16 years old and am attending Litchfield High School as a Junior this year. I started clogging when I was 3 years old. Well I actually tap-danced with my instructor Ginger and then became a member of the Cottonwood Cloggers in the fall of '91. What started clogging life was my Aunt Debbie, who was also with the Cottonwood Cloggers. She called my mom up one day and said that there are classes for clogging in Jackson at Woodville School. My mom then asked me if I wanted to drop ballet and start clogging and I said "Yes". So ever since my Aunt's phone call I have been enjoying life dancing away everywhere there is a demo. The year 2002 then rolled around and my clogging friend Adam and his mom asked me if I wanted to go to Ohio to watch some of the dancers that were in the competition against all the dancers in the United States and to go to the workshops just for fun. I said "Sure!" and we went. Down there I ran into Robin Stovall, whom I hadn't seen in 3 years or so, and she introduced me to the team. I saw what they did and came home and told my mom that there was an awesome team in Jackson that I would be willing to join and my mom agreed to let me join. I have been with the Rhythm Sensation Cloggers for about 8 months now. In my free time I attend school in Litchfield. I am part of the Litchfield Drama Club and I also do acts/shows at the Jonesville Sauk Theatre. My first competition winning was at the Tennessee Clogging Classic in 2003. I won 1st place in the 14-15 age division for amateur solos, then again at the Memorial Day Dance Spectacular in Ohio. My ambition in clogging is to start teaching with the Rhythm Sensation Clogging group and to be recognized when competing with others (to be as good as both Brians) =) My goal in life is to graduate from Litchfield High School and attend St. Joeseph college in New York. I would like to graduate from there with a Law Enforcement career and stay with dancing and acting in New York as a side job...something to fulfill my free time. Thank you all so very much... Allen Granger
