March 13th, 2006 Move Day Fast Approaches After four wonderful years of good times and memories, Chateau Ghetto is closing for good on May 1st, 2006. Not to worry, it will reopen under new management. The good news is that the present manager will be opening a new property, albeit on a somewhat smaller scale. The location is to be determined but, rest-assured, all will be in place for the annual Cinco de Mayo margharita night (afterall, one must do what one can to celebrate the independance of the proud Mexican people). As always, Montreal was like an old friend - warm, charming and familiar. From Beauty's for brunch to strolling through the Plateau (not to mention a fantastic dinner in the village, 3 days in the cultural soul of Canada does a body good. For all who have been following the trials and tribulations of the non-smoking, I'm at week 45 without even a puff. My weight is starting to stabilize albeit at a new comfort level (that I'm not so comfortable with) but at least I feel much better As for what's coming up? Work is about to swing into high gear for a few weeks. On top of that coes the May 1st move, the May 5th margharita night and then...the official "A Time for Pink Wine" Summer kick-off on May 8th! April and May promises to be fun. Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, I hope you're having a good time doing it. And remember, my door is always open (and a light's on in the hall....). Until next time, all the best, Rian Special Notes: Happy Birthday Mike Leaman (Mar 17), Cary (Mar 20) and Angela (Mar 25) Congratularions to Avi and Andrea...looking forward to the wedding, Oct. 14 |
