1995 The Olivetti issue of Volkswagen Van

In the 14 th November 1995 a new ATM machine was introduced . It was a Olivetti APT ( Automatic Postal Teller ) machine that issued ATM´s with a motive of a Volkwagen van used by the Post in the 50´s decade and designed by Anabela Silva . The ATM standart values were : 40 ; 75 ; 95 and 135 PTE . It was also possible to obtain a receipt printed in a white normal paper . In the first day of issue of this ATM´s , a F.D.C. was prepared as well as a souvenir . This machine was located in the post office of Restauradores in Lisboa and it was also in exibithion at the Museu da Fundação das Comunicações ( Comunications Fundation Museum or post Museum ) also in Lisboa . Around 1999 it was destroyed .

The recharche paper of this ATM issue was also used later ( around 1999 ) in the Klüssendorf machines model 631 . There is no diference between the Olivetti and Klüssendorf printing , except in the values of the Correio Azul . In the Klüssendorf machines it is possible to obtain the values of 80 ( national priority mail ) and 350 ( international priority mail ) PTE´s with an A printed ( just like in the other Klüssendorf machines since 1997 ) . The standart values for the Klüssendorf set were : 50 ; 95 ; 100 and 140 PTE as well has the Correio Azul values of 80 and 350 PTE´s .

Like all the ATM machines it was also possible to obtain some ATM´s with some nice and rare printing errors like double printings , missing numbers , 0 value printing ( the printing test of the Klüssendorf machine ) and many others .

A similar Olivetti APT machine was also used in Germany ( around 1995 ) with the denomination of ABAS .
