FDC from Portimão with date 1/9/81

The security paper of this Frama issue had the continuous legends CORREIOSETELECOMUNICAÇÕES printed in light blue . This security paper has some varieties wich consists in the number of vertical lines with those continuous legend . It is possible to have the security paper with 17 , 18 or 19 vertical lines with those legends .

It is also possible to have those legends printed in light blue , violet or ultramarin blue colors .

With this first ATM issue from Portugal it was possible to prepare some nice and interesting maxicards

Like all the ATM machines it was also possible to obtain some ATM´s with some nice and rare printing errors like double printings , missing numbers , printings in the back , printing in normal white paper and many others .

At the same time ( in the 80´s decade ) , following the modernization and automatization of the portuguese post , a AMIEL machine was introduced in the Restauradores post office ( in Lisboa ) but only to exchange coins . The AMIEL manufactor would be back again to Portugal 18 years later ( in 1998 ) , this time with machines to issue ATM´s .
