The NEWVISION E-Post machine 2002 project for Spain
Around 2002 / 32003 the Spanish Postal Administration ( Correos ) decided to open a public international contest for the supply of ATM postage labels machines .
Several spanish and foreigh companies had present their produts for this contest , including the portuguese company Newvision .
The choosen machine model was the Newvision E-Post 2000 M version , similar to some that are operating in Portugal .
The E-Post 2000 M machine has a « shopping basket » that
sums up and lists purchases if the customer wishes to buy more than one type of
stamps .
Payment can be made with coins , notes or money card / credit card and the
machine gives a receipt for purchases made .
This E-Post 2000 M project for the Spanish Post has also the option of the SIRIG system to allow a monitoring / maintenance and repair operations to remote distance .
