Things About Me...
I lived in Utah from 1992 to 2001. I worked at La Quinta Inn (that's lah keen-ta in) for 2 years; and let me tell you that job was NOT easy. But then I got married June 16, 2001 and I moved to North Carolina to live with my husband. But, unfortunately, my husband decided he didn't love me anymore and wanted a divorce (after being married nearly 6 years!). So, as of March 9, we are legally separated. So! I decided the best thing for me was to move back home to Utah. I have come to the realization that he IS a loser, I AM better off without him, and I WILL find someone who will treat me so much better than he ever did.
I am 5'6" and average/slender. I have layered brown hair, which I cut short for the summer - it's just above my shoulders. I also have hazel eyes. I like to think I have a good personality: friendly, able get along with most everyone, nice, sweet, caring, smart, and funny. I'm very easy going, care free, and VERY easy to please. I usually listen to classic rock, oldies, or alternative, but I do enjoy a variety of music. My love, though, is George Strait!! That is ALL I listen to now. I'm a George Strait Junkie! He's my favorite singer of all time. He's got great talent, as well as good looks! There is no song of his that I don't like.
We (my family and I) have 7 cats and two chihuahuas. I used to have 2 female rats, but they had to be put down. In NC, I also had a wolf hybrid (she's 7/8 wolf, 1/8 german shepherd, and actually she's my husband's dog), and one of her daughters - she is my dog. My friend had given me a standard donkey jack which is named Donkey; and also I had a paint mare named Aubrey. If you would like to see my pets, click here.
I worked at an animal hospital as a veterinary technician from August 2004 to March 2007. It's a very intersting job, that's for sure. I see all kinds of dogs and cats, and the occasional goat, squirrel, or guinea pig. I can do all kinds of things! Receptionist duties, cleaning, medicating, giving baths, preparing animals for surgery, assisting the doctor, and more cleaning! I love being a vet tech, it is my passion and I just love that job! Since moving back to Utah, I did get another job at a veterinary clinic as a technician/receptionist - yay!
I love to scrapbook. I have about six 3-inch binders completely full of scrapbook pages. I started when I was about 14, and have enjoyed it ever since. I'm not a fanatic about scrapbooking, but it is one of my favorite hobbies. I also have a very large collection of Beanie Babies, coins, and Pogs..remember those? Because I lived in the country - there tends to be a lot of skeletons lying around for dogs to bring back, or roadkill. So I started collecting animal skulls (which I just have a few of!).
I started college spring 2002 at Isothermal Community College. I graduated May 17, 2004 with an associate degree in office systems technology. I also received an award for Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges, the office systems technology award, as well as outstanding student (only 12 awards). I am also a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
