Hawaii (Competition Entry)

Rabun Hogan Ota Rasche Architects

I collaborated with Dean Ota on the design for this competition entry.  The design and production of the images took one month.  The modeling was done in AutoCAD 2002 and raytraced in AccuRender 3.  I have always been very impressed with the landscaping tools in AccuRender;  It’s a great bargain.

View of the amphitheater.  The big curved thing is a canopy over the stage and front seating section.

Section/Perspective through Nature Conservancy area.

Section/Perspective through the Lobby, and a detail.  Dean did a great job on theese images.

Section/Perspective through a typical classroom.  I worked very hard and finally got some results with AccuRender’s radiosity feature.

Site section/perspective, showing the underground rainwater collection facility below the canopy.
