Richard Lee Jackson was born to Rick and Jeanine Jackson on May 29th, 1979 in Redlands California. Being the middle of three children, Richard has an older sister Candice, 23 and a younger brother Jonathan, 19. After a family vacation to Universal Studios in Hollywood California in 1991. Richard and his brother expressed an interest in acting to their parents. Sometime later, Richard and Jonathan along with their mother, moved to Los Angeles to persue their dreams. When Richard was just 13 years old, he participated in local theater, commercials, and modeling. His big break then came in 1995 when he scored a role on Saved by the Bell - The New Class, playing Ryan Parker. Richard remained on the series for three full seasons. In 1996, while still on SBTB - The New Class, Richard stared along side his brother Jonathan in a Showtime Orginial Movie called, The Prisoner of Zenda Inc, playing Douglas. In 1998 Richard bid farewell to SBTB ending his three year run and then an amazing oppertunity came knocking on Richard's door. He was asked to guest star on Fox's Ally McBeal in the series' second season opener. Richard played Jason Tresham; a young man involved in a statutary rape case and was also a younger crush to Ally herself. Ally McBeal prooved to be a great success for Richard, as it made him more known in the industry. In 1999, Richard stared as one of the leads in Meg Thayer's independent film, True Rights. A dark satire on Hollywood producers trying to get the rights of people's real life stories. Richard playes Reynolds Portman, a young film director who documents the trips and tribulations of the producers on their quest for True Rights. Also in 1999 and into 2000, Richard landed a guest role on Lifetime's Any Day Now, playing Jason Delucca. Richard appeared in four episodes, yet another successful achievement. The tear 2000 was another great year for Richard, His film Madison was chosen to premiere in 2001 Sundance Film Festival. Richard has a supporting role in Madison; a movie based on a true story where Madison Indiana is host to the hydroplane gold cup racing championship. Richard plays Buddy, an upcoming racer whom the town wants to drive for them in the race. Richard then took on a new challenge. Along with his brother, he moved from in front of the camera to behind it when he wrote and directed his first film. Crystal Clear stars good family friend William Rotunno and Tava Smiley and Maurice Benard of ABC's General Hospital. Crystal Clear was awards the Best Director award for Richard and Jonathan and Best Actor award for William at the Brooklyn Film Festival this past year. In Richard's acting career, he has guest appeared on numerous TV shows including Boy Meets World, Star Trek Deep Space Nine, The Good Life, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and Baywatch. Richard and Jonthan, along with their father and uncle played in a family rock band called Scarlet Road. Richard writes songs, sings, and plays the drums. Scarlet Road has put out two CDs, Clash and God Candy. Up until recently in early 2001, Richard's father and uncle pulled out of the band with no conflicts. Since the change, Richard and Jonathan have renamed their band to Scarlet River and are both excited about the new chapter in their band and in their music. Scarlet River has recorded their first CD called This I Know. The new CD will consist of softer, more imtimate music and it is said to be a "loving tribute to God." Richard has also lent himself to many fund raisers including benefit concers to provide hope for the hopeless streets and he has appeared on Hollywood Squares to raise money for SHINE, an organization devoted to ending violence. Richard and Jonathan continue to be supportive of each other's accomplishments and their family remians close and strong even though their father has lived in a different state for the past eight years. Richard and jonathan along with their mother continue to travel back and forth from Los Angeles to Washington State, keeping their family a solid unit full of love and incredible faith. Most recently, Richard celebrated his 22nd birthday and has landed yet another movie roll. Scavenger Hunt will no doubt this will be another great success for this amazing guy and actor. |
