Security
The PCC will appoint a responsible person to ensure that the church will be locked at dusk each day and will be reopened the following morning.

Obstacles
The Churchwardens will ensure that the aisles are free ar all times from obstructions.

Electrical Installation Electrical installations which are five or more years old will be tested annually.
Electricla installations which are less than five years old will be tested every two years.
The switchgear in the church will be labelled to show:
a) the date of the most recent inspection
b) the date of the recommended future inspection
Inspections will be carried out by a nominated, qualified electrical contractor.

The Organ
The church organ will be inspected annually by a nominated organ specialist.
The power supply to the organ will be switched off when the organ is not in use.

Gas Fired Heating System
The heating system will be inspected annually by a CORGI registered contractor and recommended maintenance work will be undertaken forthwith.

Potentially Dangerous Substances
Cleaning materials, matches, communion wine will, when not required, be kept locked away.

First Aid Box
A First Aid Box will be provided and inspected monthly to ensure that any used contents are replenished.

Accident Book
An Accident Book will be kept in the church at all times and the appropriate entries made as required.

Valuables
Church silver and brass in regular use will be kept locked in the safe when not in use during services or stored in a cupboard in the locked vestry.
Church silver which is not in regular use will be placed in safe keeping with the church bankers.

Stepladders
Stepladders and other means of gaining height will be checked regularly to ensure that they are free from any defect.

Portable Electrical Appliances
Electrical appliances will be checked visually every month to ensure that there is no defective wiring or other potential hazard.

Fire Extinguishers
A certificated authorised contractor will be employed to carry out an annual inspection of all fire extinguishers and other fire fighting equipment.

Cash
All cash held on the premises will be kept in the loacked safe in the vestry until banked. Bankings will be made weekly as early as possible in the week and the times will be varied.

Waste Paper bins
All waste bins will be of the metallic type and will be emptied monthly.

Smoking
Smoking is prohibited in all parts of the church at all times.

Exits
The church wardens will ensure that all exits are kept free and unrestricted during church services.
