Parade Rules and Regulations
 

In order to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the Richfield City Independence Day Parade, their will be no throwing of candy or other items from parade participants to audience members.  Similarly, there will be no spraying of silly string from parade participants nor the squiriting of water.

Any parade participant who violates these rules will be suspended from future Richfield City parade participation until further notice.

Failure to adhere to these rules endangers others needlessly and may be considered as an assault and battery - particularly if someone is injured.

There will be some PRE-APPROVED, costumed parade participants who will be HANDING OUT candy as they walk along the parade route.

All parade participants will be required to sign a statement of understanding and agreement to the above terms.

Lastly, all participants agree to the highest standard of conduct and display if participating in the parade.  Parade officials reserve the right to refuse participation of any entry whose message, tone or demeanor is contrary to locally established and customary norms and standards.

Hate groups, controversial matter, immodest dress, politically based entries, etc., will not be allowed to participate.
