well another school year has ended. and
there are now only TWo years left until my
parents kick me out into the street. two
short years. two short years left to enjoy
the world that i have known for 16 years.
what will i have done by the end of those
years?
expectation. desperation. junior year will
be tough. buckling , i hold the weight of the world on my shoulders.
will i break?
where will i go? where am i headed?
i need a destination. i need to do
something. something big. something
important. i need to travel to other
lands. make meetings with company
executives. eat at expensive
restaurants, have silk sheets for my bed.
umm....
anyways, its summer. its about time for changes.
mentality
my parents were immigrants coming from
vietnam in the early 1980s. my mom rode a
refugee boat for 2 weeks from vietnam
across the dangerous seas to the
phillipines on her voyage to america. she
had only water to live off of for 10 days
in unsanitary conditions. she
came to seek a better life. for her and
her children.
now, you caught my heart for the evening
kissed my cheek, moved in, you confused things
should i just sit out or come harder?
