The RikerDonegal TV Theme Download Page

This site is for TV Theme Collector's and, hopefully, you'll find a theme here that you haven't found anywhere else! As a rule, I'll use this site for larger files that people have requested [in forums, or by e-mail] and remove them when they've been download by somebody. I can't leave 'em here as they take up too much space! Contact me at twitter!

Baywatch Mitch, Craig, Eddie and Shauni make the beaches safe for everybody. For some reason I haven't yet gotten to the bottom of, there exists two opening titles sequences for all the episodes of Baywatch's first season (the one that originally aired on NBC). One version opens with Peter Cetera singing "Save Me", and another version [which surfaced in UK re-runs a couple of years back] has this song by Kim Carnes.
Baywatch Mitch gets promoted, Craig gets stalked and Eddie sees Shauni for the first time... The pilot has a longer version of Kim Carne's song. Unfortunately my video tape cuts out twice :-(
Boomtown Quality US cop drama A few people were looking for this over at the Themez Forums, so I put it here for download. Assuming they all had it, I took it down. Only to find that my inbox was getting about a mail a day requesting it. So, here it is.
Danger Man Excellent, very "serious" spy-drama from the early sixties. Came before the spy craze of that decade: Bond, Steed, UNCLE, Smart, Helm, Flynn, the "I Spy" guys, the IMF, etc. I've never come across this file, the season one opening theme with Drake's narration, anywhere on the net. Later seasons used "Highwire" which is the one usually found on the internet. In America, "Secret Agent Man" was used as the theme.
Danger Man Closing theme to season one.
Deadly Games Guy teams up with his ex-wife to combat dangerous super-powered characters who have escaped from a video game he created. Similar to, and in some ways better than, Lois And Clark. It was a light hearted action/adventure fantasy show, with romantic chemistry between the leads and some very good super villians.
Deadly Games Intro used to start each episode.
Dinky Dog Mis-adventures of a BIG dog and his exasperated owners. Sixteen 11-minute episodes, airing as part of The All-New Popeye Hour during the early part of the 78-9 season. Another annoyingly catchy theme that's been haunting my day-to-day life for 25 years!!
Eye To Eye Mis-matched private eye show: older guy and younger girl. Light-hearted mid '80s show.
High Performance Short-lived action-adventure show from 1983, which started Mitch Ryan of Dharma & Greg fame, and Jack Scalia of several-other-short-lived-action-adventure-shows fame. Oh, and he appeared in the last season of Remington Steele. Even as a kid I thought the show was bland and uninteresting, but I loved the theme tune. I've never seen it anywhere on the net. Here it is. Taa-Daa! (I'm probably the only person interested).
Hunter All-time best "tough-cop" cop-show. Great fun. There were loads of variations of the theme tune, and this file combines five of them.
Kidnapped David McCallum as Robert Louis Stevenson’s Alan Breck I [sadly] remember very little about this series from the late '70s, except for the wonderful haunting theme, which has stayed with me down through the years. A theme very kindly passed on to me by a fellow user at the Themez Forums. Thanks, Jimmy!
Kojak Standard cop show. Best of its kind. Not the version heard on TV, but a cool cover version by "Los Sonny" from a TV Themes compilation tape a friend brought me from South America, some years ago.
Lyttons' Diary Peter Bowles co-created and starred in this ITV drama about a gossip columnist. Opening theme.
Lytton's Diary From the 85-86 season. Closing theme. Music by Rick Wakeman.
McClains Law Cop show from the 81-2 season with James Arness as the veteran detective and Marshall Colt as his rookie partner.
Reggie Between the success of Soap and the success of Empty Nest, the wonderful Richard Mulligan starred in this flop 1983 sit-com about a dreamer trying to make the best of his dreary life. Based on the BBC Reginald Perrin series. Absolutely wonderful theme, one of my real favourites.
Saracen One of ITV's god-awful Saturday-night actions shows. This one from 1989, about elite bodyguards. Opener seemed to me to be a desperate attempt to recapture the glory of The Professionals, and I never went back. Don't know if this theme was used every week. Presume it was, it was used on the opener anyway.
Saracen Episode intro. Really awful self-important nonsense.
She-Wolf Of London American student is attacked by a werewolf, and becomes one herself. In an effort to find a cure, she teams up with a stuffy professor guy and they end up investigating and fighting a very wide variety of weird stuff, everything from zombies to fictional characters to sci-fi fans. And once every few episodes, she goes all werewolf-y! Very cool, very inventive fantasy show. Revamped at mid-season for a variety of reasons. The new version had this [much better] rendition of the theme.
Stingray Stephen J. Cannell's '80s action-adventure, starring Nick Mancuso. Long version of the theme.
    Stingray Another version.
Strangers Five season [78-82] ITV cop show. Some info about it, and the shows that preceded/succeeded it, can be found here. Opening theme. Possibly from the last season.
    Strangers Closing theme.
Roughnecks: The Starship Trooper Chronicles Superb action/adventure sci-fi series with a very downbeat tone. Most episodes would end on a sombre note, our heroes contemplating their impending doom on the battlefields of the Bug War, and then after a fade-to-black up would come this killer closing theme.
The Bionic Woman "...better..." Little-used opening sequence to The Bionic Woman, comprising Joe Harnell's wonderful "Jaime's Theme" behind the various sound effects of bionic things happening.
The Bionic Woman "...stronger..." Joe Harnell's wonderful "Jaime's Theme". In full. This, to me, has always been the real theme to The Bionic Woman. This is the music we usually hear when Jaime goes into action.
The Bionic Woman "...faster..." This is a cover version of the more famous Bionic Woman theme, Jerry Fielding's slow meandering (and very nice) tune. This is Geoff Love's version from a tape called Superthemes which I've had for about twenty years. Oh, how I've played that tape...
The Burning Zone A team of scientists combats viruses, and similar threats Very inventive show, done in the wake of The X-Files. After a very strong initial run, full of sci-fi and fantasy story-lines, it was revamped at mid-season. Some characters were dropped, some of the ongoing story concepts were also dropped, a new cast member was added and this totally new [and much better] opening theme was also added. This new version of the show was still very, very good and produced a few more top notch episodes before cancellation.
The Hardy Boys Third season of the '70s detective show saw Nancy Drew written out, and the boys started working for the Justice Department. As a whole this season lacked the charm of the earlier ones and the show was soon cancelled. Another theme I've loved since childhood and never been able to find anywhere.
The Lost World Three seasons with Professor Challenger and the gang against prehistoric, supernatural and futuristic foes.
The Untouchables Cop show set in the '20s. Ran four seasons 59-60. Opening theme with narration. "Starring Robert Stack" etc. From the pilot. [original airdate: April 20th, 1959.]
The Untouchables A version of the closing theme.
The Untouchables Low sound quality of the opening theme with narration, from a later episode: "The Doreen Maney Story" [original airdate: March 31st, 1960.]
The Untouchables Syndicated version of the cop show set in the '20s. Cool theme to the suprisingly poor/average update.
Waterfront Beat Phil Redmond's enjoyable early '90s BBC cop show. Two seasons.
Yellowthread Street One of ITV's god-awful Saturday-night actions shows. This one from 1990, about cops in Hong Kong. Likable enough plinkety-plink theme.
