| My first little grandchild was born just 33 minutes ago at 12.23 am on February 25th 2003. 7 lb 13 oz 51cm long Riley Edward, I can't wait to see you and give you a cuddle! My wonderful son Matthew and his fiance Alison have planned and prepared for this precious little one for so long. They knew he was going to be a little boy and chose the name Riley Edward for him many months ago. Riley because they liked the name, and Edward after his two deceased Great Grandfathers. I know both of them would be so happy and proud to know Matt and Alison had chosen the name Edward to be part of this little one's name. Alison's labour was 11 hours long - pretty good for a first baby and Matthew says she did just great. I knew she would, she has really looked after herself very well during her pregnancy. They will both be wonderful parents. Everyone here is fast asleep. I can't wait to tell them all in the morning that our little Riley has finally arrived - it seems like we have been waiting FOREVER. Given that we've all been calling him "Riley" for so long it's like we know him already and have just to welcome him to the outside world *smile* My 3 year old constantly asks "Is he out yet?" so now I'll be able to say "Yes he's out!" *smile* WELCOME RILEY. WE LOVE YOU!! |
