1-1
  1. There is a pole coming out from a building just before you reach the third guard. Use the pole to reach the platform above. Jump off the green vase to reach the gem.
  2. On a platform just to the right of the first archer you encounter.
  3. After the scarab beetle treasure swing up poles to reach the gem.
  4. You have to use the platform in which gem #3 was acquired to get this one. Jump off the ledge to the right and use the rug to glide to it.

1-2
  1. Climb the structure just before the guard with the barrel. Jump off the right side and use the rug to glide to the gem’s position.
  2. You should be able to see this one, but if you can’t it’s just to the left of the stairs at the end of this stage. 

1-3
  1. Jump off the right side of the structure before the second archer and use the carpet to glide to the gem’s position.
  2. Above the first swinging platform. Jump off the guard to the left and glide to reach it.
  3. This one you can see. Hang off the edge of the swinging platform to reach this one.
  4. Don’t use the second sheet to slide down the rope at the end of the stage. Instead, get as high as you can and glide to get the red gem.

  1. Obvious.
  2. Use the bat just before the scarab beetle treasure chest to reach this gem.

  4. Use a bat to reach this one, which is just above the part with the shattering ground.
  5. Obvious.
  6. Use the stalagmites (the ones hanging from the ceiling???) just before the part where Abu points to the treasure to get this gem.

57-58. Jump off the swords that the second sword thrower throws to get this these ones. One is to the right the other is to the left.

Tips

 

  1. Stop the market guard from his counter attack (the crazy slashing thing he does) by throwing apples at him.
  2. On stage 4-1 if you reach 0 lives, genie will be nice and make you all clouds.

Beat the game with 60 or more red gems

Stage Select

Go into “options”. On the second controller press “L, R, Start, Select, X, Y, A, B” in that order. Then “exit” the “option” section. You’ll see tiny numbers above your options. Hold “L+R” and press “up” or “down” to change the level. When you are ready start the game.

 

Review

 

The game is pretty consistent with the Disney movie, “Aladdin”, however; Capcom pulled stage 5 right out of their ass. The only thing I didn’t like was the overall difficulty of the game. Another thing was the fact that you’re red gem count dissipates after you have a game over, making it very hard to get the secret ending.
