***INTRODUCTION***

This is a really fun game to play. It's a mix between Street Fighter and generic baseball games. I love playing the game. In my opinion this game is one of the best sports games made for NES. I put together a basic instruction guide for the game. I really didn't have a manual with the game, I bought it used. There probably is a lot more I could say on the instructional, but I hope what I do have will help you through the game.

***BASICS***

RULES: Exactly the same as real baseball, except they added a twist: you can fight for the bases rather than automatically being out.

HOW TO GET STARTED: Press “START” and select pennant mode by pushing “A” over it. Select the teams, “A” to select, “B” to delete. Either uses all 6 teams or press “start” when you are ready. You can alter the league name by using the arrow controls: up and down are to change the letters and right and left are to change the position. Press “A” to alter the game amounts. Press “A” when you are ready. The “Start” button is to go forward through the teams; the “select” button is if you screw up. To alter any information hold the “B” button and use the arrow controls. The word “Man” means that the team is “Manual” or run by you. You can change that to “CPU” or “Central Processing Unit” the computer, not controlled by you. There are four different types of robots to choose from: cyborgs, motorcycle (MCYCLE), flybots and tanks. So configure your teams, player names ect… Next, you come to a screen that will ask you if you want to keep this, say “yes” with the “A” button or start completely over again by selecting “no”. You now have four options.

PARTS SHOP: Choose the team you wish with the “A” button (must be “MAN”). “B” is used as the escape key; “A” is the select key. There are three selections, SHOPPING:  Purchase items that advance the attributes of team players, REPAIR: Go here after every game. Many of your robots will be injured and they need repaired. To repair a robot, simply press “A” on it. If you go there now you should just see “MAX” beside each player’s name. ROBOT DATA: This section just lets you know what parts each robot has. This is to prevent you from purchasing the same item twice. ***Whatever you decide to do, you have to know you have 10,000 dollars to spend.

CHANGE: This option allows you to change the team name, manager name and “MAN” “CPU” state.

RANKING: Choose this to see how each individual player or team is doing in the league. (Homeruns, League Rank, battle and ERA rank)

PLAY BALL: Select this option. Now there will be a table. Using the arrow buttons choose a team that you would like to face in the league. To select push “A” button.

***PLAYING THE GAME***

COMBAT: Here are the moves: A=Punch/Weapon, Hold “A” to continue using weapon (only certain weapons). The “B” button operates the special moves (ex: cyborg =jump kick). Hold “B” to keep using the move.

Fight the opponent until his or your bar runs out. If your opponent’s hit points reach “0” he will fall down and prepare to combust…get away from him, cause the explosion will hurt you.

If you choose to run to the next base, take into consideration:

If you are a (insert)

And you encounter a (insert)

Then you have a (insert) chance of winning.

From the chart you can see that the Cyborgs are very weak, so if you do choose to use cyborgs make sure that they have very powerful weapons.

PITCHING: To pitch is very simple, just press the “A” button. To throw the ball fast, hold the “A” button and release. To aim the ball simply shoot it and hold the direction you would like to shoot the ball in. When throwing the ball slowly you will notice you have incredible control of the ball. If a robot is weak you can destroy it by hitting it.

AT THE PLATE: When you are at the plate use “A” to swing the bat. Hold or Ż with “A” to decrease or increase the bat’s height from the ground.

I’M ON FIRST, BUT I WANT TO GO TO SECOND: Just press the “B” button and the direction on the arrow pad to steal, but remember the combat chart.

I’M RUNNING TO SECOND BUT I DON’T WANT MY ASS KICKED: Press “A” to return to the base you were just at.

WINNING THE GAME: Either destroy 3 robots of the opposing team or score more runs than the opposing team.
