I have played through the original and beat it. I heard from a NES forum that
the second one was actually much better than the first, in fact better than
Duck Tales 2 for NES. I had to play it to believe it (and because I enjoy these
DISNEY games produced by Capcom). The game isn't much different from the first;
it has a few less items, but a chance to acquire a higher level of health.

Chip “Woah! A time bomb!”

Chip “There is a time bomb in a restaurant downtown! We’ve got to find
it!”
Gadget “This is an emergency! There’s no time to waste lets go mates”
Chip “We’ve got a bomb to find!”
Gadget “We’ll go ahead and investigate. Look for us and we’ll give you
any clues we’ve found”
Monterey “Or give you some help…would have never made it through the
battle of Brie without a bit of help. Ah those were the days.”
Zipper ”…”
Chip “Right, Zipper. There’s no time to lose! Dale you come with me”
Dale “Now? But I was about to start my afternoon nap!”
Chip “No can do Dale!”
Dale “Okay partner. Let’s go.”
Narrator “Rescue Rangers away!”
Newscaster “Also in the news the notorious Fat Cat escaped from prison
last night.”
Chip “Alright, spill it! Who set the time bomb?”
Water Rabbit “ I did. Fat Cat asked me to create a diversion and it
worked.”
Dale “No way. Fat Cat is in prison.”
Water Rabbit “Not anymore. He broke out last night. He’s planning to
steal the Urn of the pharaoh. He probably has it already. You’re too late.”
Chip “So where is the bomb?”
Water Rabbit “Find it yourself. Hahaha!”
Chip “Gadget. Have you found the bomb?”
Gadget “Here’s the bomb. Look it has blue and red wires coming out of
it. We have to cut one of the wires to defuse it.”
Dale “But what happens if we cut the wrong one?”
Gadget “We’re doomed.”
Dale “Uh oh.”
Gadget “Which one should I cut? Red or Blue hurry?”
Gadget ”Are you sure?” Player
Yes- Gadget “OK here goes.” Narrator “BOOM!” Gadget “Just kidding we cut the
right one.” Chip “I think I’m gonna faint.” Gadget “Hey where is dale? Chip
“Oh, he passed out. Hurry Fat Cat is done stealing the Urn of the pharaoh. It’s
on a ship about to leave port.” Gadget “Now what does Fat Cat want with the Urn
of the Pharaoh?” Chip “Who knows? We’ve just got to get it back.”
Gadget ”Are you sure?” Player
Yes- Gadget “OK here goes. Whew I guess that was the right one. It must have
been a fake bomb.” Hurry Fat Cat is done stealing the Urn of the pharaoh. It’s
on a ship about to leave port.” Gadget “Now what does Fat Cat want with the Urn
of the Pharaoh?” Chip “Who knows? We’ve just got to get it back.”
Dale ”The Urn of the Pharaoh is missing and we don’t have any leads.”
Zipper “…”
Chip “Montey what’s Zipper saying?”
Monterey “Well love he says that Fat Cat and his henchmen headed into a
warehouse by the docks.”
Chip “Really? Are you sure Zipper?”
Zipper “…”
Chip “Alright common let’s go. Fat Cat better watch out.”
Chip “Woah it’s pitch dark in here. I can’t see a blooming thing.”
Dale “Hey the door shut itself”
Fat Cat “Ah ha, welcome my rescue rangers. I’ve waited a long time for
this.”
Dale “Fat Cat?”
Fat Cat “The one and only”
Chip “Fat Cat you stole the Urn of the Pharaoh.”
Fat Cat “That’s right. And it’s full of ancient evil spirits. When I
release them I’ll rule the world.”
Dale “You’ll never get away with this Fat Cat.”
Fat Cat “And what will you do to stop me? You’re in a giant
refrigerator. You’ll be frozen solid in three minutes.”
Dale “Aw Nuts. What are we going to do now?”
Chip “I think I see an opening over there. Maybe we can escape through
it. Hurry.”
Narrator “You’ll be frozen solid in three minutes.”
Monterey “There’s ghosts everywhere. Fat Cat must have opened the urn.”
Chip “Look there coming from the warehouse.”
Dale “You mean the warehouse is haunted?”
Chip “Pull yourself together Dale you’re a ranger.”
Dale “Yeah and those are ghosts.”
Pre Stage 6 Dialogue
Chip “We did it. All the ghost should disappear soon.”
Fat Cat “Don’t you rescue rodents ever learn?”
Dale “Uh Oh. It’s Fat Cat.”
Chip “Come out here and face us. Are you a cat or a mouse?”
Fat Cat “Not so fast rangers. If you dare to face me come to the
amusement park I’ll be waiting.”
Dale “Ooh that Fat Cat we have to stop him.”
Chip “Wait Dale it smells like a trap to me.”
Fat Cat “You’re doomed rescue rangers. I control the entire amusement
park. You’ll never catch me.”
Dale “Oh yeah? Don’t bet on it Fat Cat.”
Fat Cat “Ha. You need three keys to enter my control room. And they’re
all hidden in different parts of the park. Have fun.”
Dale “We’ve got to get the keys.”
Monterey “Where should we go first?”
Chip “Fat Cat is right inside”
Gadget “Let’s use the keys.”
Zipper “…”
Chip “It’s unlocked open the door.”
Chip “We’ve got you now Fat Cat the rescue rangers are here.”
Dale “Hey he’s gone where did he go?”
Gadget “Look everyone a secret passage. Let’s go.”
Chip “Be careful this could be our last stand.”
Narrator “Let’s go rescue rangers.”
Fat Cat “Welcome Rescue Rangers. I have been waiting for you.”
Chip “You’ll never get away Fat Cat.”
Dale “Surrender.”
Fat Cat “You’ll never defeat me rescue rangers. I have the ultimate
weapon, the Fat Cat robot.”
Dale “Did you hear something?”
Chip “Look out everyone.”
Epilogue
Monterey “The ceiling is giving way.”
Chip “Go find cover everyone. Dale and I will track Fat Cat.”
Monterey “Take care of yourselves.”
Monterey “Chip and Dale are trapped inside. We’ve lost the lads
forever.”
Gadget “Chip and Dale. Thank
goodness your safe.”
Chip “We almost didn’t make it.”
Dale “And we never did capture Fat Cat. He must still be trapped
inside.”
Gadget “But if I know Fat Cat he had his escape well planned.”
Monterey “Well if nothing else we made that blighters life a little less
cushy, eh?”
Dale “You said it.”
Gadget “And if he ever shows up again…”
Chip “Then I guess we’ll just have to teach him another lesson. Right
Rangers?”
All “Right watch out Fat Cat. We’re the Rescue Rangers.”
